Rift and quarter sawn select
Each board is hand selected for straight grain. Flecks are not considered defects, they are only found in the quarter sawn boards. No knots, checking or milling defects.
Select
Similar coloring in boards. minimal knots, checking. or Milling defects. This is the most commonly seen grade of red oak.
Seth Bournival has forged strong relationships with loggers and mills to get lumber specifically suited to our custom grades. Our grades are unique.

3/4” up to 2 1/2” available in all grades

25/32” (3/8” up to 1 1/2” are available)
Lengths
Range available, oak usually averages between 6’ to 8’
Milling
Tongue and groove with back relief.
End-matching option available for widths up to 8”. Flooring can be ordered with end-matching (a tongue or groove at the end of board length).
